La diff\u00e9rence entre la plante du sud, et notamment du Languedoc et la sous-esp\u00e8ce plus commune pr\u00e9sente ici est que la premi\u00e8re, Phalaris arundinacea subsp. oehlri, poss\u00e8de des pi\u00e8ces florales plus grandes. Les deux sont t\u00e9traploides.
